Problem and need
Many tasks require repetitive effort or stabilisation, while existing assistive systems can be complex, heavy and expensive.
Solution concept
The project explores a lightweight modular architecture and different assistance methods, including pneumatic and mechatronic approaches selected for a defined use case.
Further R&D
Development will begin with a single module and test rig. Priorities include ergonomics, force limits, fail-safe modes and measurement of the actual assistance effect.
